Although we will be following the USA Wrestling guidelines and currently in Phase 4, we also need to be following the guidelines that the Big Lake School District has set forth. We are working with the Big Lake School and the Community Education department to ensure a fun and safe wrestling season and yet following the guidelines set before us.

Monitoring

All participants and parents must self-monitor for symptoms of COVID-19. If any signs or symptoms of infection are present, the participant should not attend the practice. Parents should notify a Coach and or a Board Member ASAP, and should contact their healthcare provider. If an athlete tests positive for COVID-19 or has been in contact with someone diagnosed with COVID-19 notify a Coach and Melissa Smith the Covid19 Health Coordinator Immediately. The Board will notify wrestlers and parents present at the practice about a possible exposure. The Board will NOT share the sick  athlete’s name with other wrestlers and parents to ensure they do not violate privacy laws.  Exposed individuals should contact local healthcare provider for direction on further care.
Upon arrival to practice, Coaches or a Board Member will ask each athlete if they are experiencing any signs or symptoms of COVID-19, ask if they have been in contact with anyone who may have been exposed to COVID-19, and take their temperature. We will also need each parent to check their child in IF your child can not provide your full name and phone number.  If the athlete has any signs or symptoms of COVID-19, they WILL be sent home and instructed to contact their healthcare provider.
Coaches will also perform skin checks and possibly ask of any ongoing injuries to refamiliarize themselves with each athlete’s current health status
